| DARWARS is actively working on harnessing experiential training to create a maximum impact on readiness and effectiveness. Experiential training starts with the principle that people learn best by doing. Whether it is learning a foreign language or convoy tactics, practicing skills in a simulated environment with appropriate feedback is a proven way to turn training into readiness. DARWARS builds on the power of experiential training by supporting the training process as a continuous cycle. With the ability of DARWARS to identify and adapt to a student's evolving needs, instructor interaction and individual training goals come together to maximize a student's readiness and effectiveness. In order to facilitate training, DARWARS has developed a number of key technologies that are being incorporated into the DARWARS Core architecture and individual DARWARS Training Systems: • Scalable mapping of students' training objectives to experiential training events • Tracking objectives, conditions, and measures during training • Scheduling training sessions for geographically distributed teams • Real-time distribution of software and content to each student's PC • Creating an on-line community of students and instructors • Streaming indexed data from within the training system to support student feedback and AAR • Interfacing with existing LMSs and SCORM-compliant courseware • Enabling intelligent tutoring capabilities in simulation-based training • Interfacing with HLA-based simulations, game engines, synthetic entities, and agent-based systems For more information on the impact of experiential training and DARWARS, download our White Paper |
